How a normal person (like me) sees #twitter and #twitch

I find myself increasingly baffled by the peculiar vernacular that has taken over platforms like Twitter and Twitch. Terms like “ratio” and “take the L” are bandied about by grown adults, and I can’t help but wonder what on earth is going on. It’s as if people are drooling over their keyboards, spewing out these nonsensical phrases. I often find myself just showing up on these platforms, not to engage in the madness, but to riff and observe. It’s a bizarre spectacle, one that leaves me shaking my head in disbelief.

When I read through Twitter, all I hear is a cacophony of absurdity. It’s like a constant background noise that you can’t escape. And don’t get me started on the economic discussions on LinkedIn; it’s a whole other level of bewilderment. Sometimes, it feels like I’m in a hospital ward, surrounded by people speaking a language I can’t quite grasp.

In essence, the way people communicate online nowadays is both fascinating and frustrating. It’s a mix of amusement and exasperation, watching adults use language that seems more suited to a playground than a professional or social setting. But perhaps that’s just the way things are evolving, and we all have to find our way to navigate this strange new world.
