Well only a few short days ago Tealou could have gone either way. Today she spoke for the first time in six days.
Tealou is still very sedated and isn’t up to being very coherent but she did speak and seems to understand most of what was being said to her. While the tube is out there is still a chance that it could go back in if problems occur. At her level of sedation, it is hard to know if she understands that she has been unconscious for six days or not.
Tealou is still fighting Sepsis and is being filled with antibiotics to try and reverse that.
X rays showed that her lungs are recovering quite well.
It is hoped that she will be well enough to return to a normal ward tomorrow but I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t until the day after.
