Aren't you... tired? I'm tired.
Every time I check my inbox it is a stream of bad takes, reply-guys and unpleasantness. Get a selection of curated articles and analysis by me, focused on how we got here, why it's off-kilter, and some ideas, solutions and strategies to help you navigate this precarious dystopian landscape.
I will never claim to be the news and never claim to be fair and balanced. But, it will be sincere, good faith, thought through, hopefully make you laugh from time to time, and - well let's be honest - is probably better than most of the news.

If feel-good vibes alone don’t do it for you, VIPs get the perk of being able to interact, some additional resources/downloads to go with every post, the occasional gift or whatever, and get early/special access… including some of the old/private stuff that has been deleted/regretted over the years.
My weekly newsletter has a selection of curated articles and analysis by me that is definitely not news. There’ll be case studies, analysis and of course some laughs on the so-called culture wars. I’ll do what I can to try and keep you sane, where you can enjoy it in the (relative) privacy of your inbox.
You’ll get a book recommendation or two, some must-reads and some thoughts and general analysis. If you’re at this point, you’ll know roughly what you’re getting from me :-)
Oh, you’ll also get my book when it finally comes out and access and discounts on exclusive Merch and courses as they become available.
You’ll also be able to comment on my posts, which is set to read-only for non-members. You know. Because comments sections.
You’ll also get access to User Story Hour and Premium Content from my other projects as it becomes available.
I don’t need to make a lot of money to be happy. I just need this to be sustainable and not haemorrhage cash from it. If you value what I do, and have the money, you’ll be helping me to focus more, edit more, write more and maybe even be able to afford to get some help one day.
I won’t use unpaid interns or exploited staff, which means that helping me is as much about putting your money where your mouth is as it is about supporting me.
The more support I get, the more I am able to worry less about paywalls and more about getting information out, free, for everyone to share and share alike. Unfortunately the internet has become nothing but “what’s in it for me” and people like me, who have information, are forced to compete in that space, when we’d rather just make it free for everyone.
But, I also have rent to pay, an exploding cost of living, and an economic reality that means if I have to take on clients or work full time for someone else, I can’t do this. So, help with the conundrum and just pay it forward.
Even if you never read the newsletter (I know how it is), you also help me to survive. It’s tough out here in the land of not taking sides and the pursuit of truth. Not that I am claiming truth. I mostly want to get you think and entertain you and make you feel better. You know what I mean.
Change starts here, right now. With you.
The thing about why we are – here – is largely because of a deliberate and pervasive idea that “content” is “free”. We actually meant freedom. And we didn’t call it bloody content. Facebook and Advertisers meant free with a very large undisclosed price. Complex issues and decent ideas aren’t… content. Ugh.
So, every time you pay directly for stuff that you like, you help fight this mindset. As much as I hate living in this system where money and Corporate HR exists, I gotta somehow live in it. Which means I am not paid to think, or to write anything but ad copy, or to do anything that would be more valued if we did not live in this corporate hellscape.
But hey, it starts here.
Thank you x
